Both my furbabies gone in less than a week, and I wasn't there for either.

They took him to the vet for shots, and she noticed a mass in the back of his mouth. They put him under for x rays and discovered the tumor was in his jaw, tongue and starting to block his throat. He was 12. They decided then and there to put him to sleep so he wouldn't suffer.

This just sucks. I cannot deal.

3. I'm so sorry!
It's been difficult enough for me to deal with the loss of one pet; you must be hurting so much after losing two.

My condolences to you.

5. My condolences
He looks like a sweet boy and 12 is much too young. Two cats...? This must be an awful week for you. I am wishing some psychic cuddles your way.

20. Oh, that's terrible
I'm so sorry to hear you lost both your kitties, DainBramaged. Sending you good vibes for comfort. (Are you able to have cats where you are now? Because if so, the best form of therapy is to adopt a new little furball or two or 12.)

21. DB, Very sorry for you troubles. Cats living to 12 or so
become subject to many very bad diseases. They, being cats, try to conceal them till they are so devstated they no longer can hide it, by which time it's too late.

When you are able, get another cat from a shelter.

Not your fault, it just happens.

mark

24. Many of my cats through the years have lived very long lives
Roscoe was 18 1/2, Bosworth 16, Tabby 17, Monkey was 19, so I'm used to my babies living to be old like me. Binx died on Oct. 13 2006 at 13, and my only kitteh now, Coco the micro-cat, is going to be 11 in November.

Losing both of my dogs and my Meatloaf in 7 months has been very difficult. When you live alone, all you have are your furbabies. ALL of mine have been adopted through the years, so soon I will try to sneak another into the apartment. They register your cat here, and only one per apartment.

I'd stand and fight anyone who would disparage our Party or Candidate, yet I am useless when it comes to my furbabies.
