Cats and Self-Esteem
I've never known cats to spend much time reflecting on whether they're a winner or a loser in life. In general they have pretty good self-esteem. But occasionally you meet a cat with great self-esteem. My cat Gracie is completely into being a cat. She loves walking like a cat, slowly with sinuous moves. She doesn't just make her way around my apartment, she prowls it. At times I catch her posing like a lion. She really thinks it's terrific to be a cat.

I can't imagine a cat that would want to be anything else. The best that life has to offer is to be a cat. Just ask a cat!

1. Not only can a cat not want to be anything else
But I think they pity the rest of us two footers for NOT being cats...:D

2. My little Lola is exactly like that, too. Sometimes she
sits in a pose that reminds me of an Egyptian cat god statue.

3. Cats ask for very little and take great pleasure in little things like a nap or a sunbeam.

4. And They Don't Worry
The thing I constantly admire about cats is that they enjoy the moment. They never get upset about their worries because they don't let shit bother them.

8. I love that about cats. That's just one of the many reasons I vastly prefer them to dogs.
Dogs are too fawning and insecure for my taste. And the slobbering and the barking and the greasy-feeling fur ... Meh.
