I had a bad experience yesterday

I can't even find the words to explain this terrible event. See I have this friend for 5 years or so has quite a few friends himself and those friends have there friends. So there is this woman who is 18 or so who had a relationship with my younger brother who used to live in the same townhome complex as my mom who still lives there, she remembers me but I can't even recognize her and even by name I still don't remember.

Anyways, yesturday after me, a friend, his friend, his dad, and that woman were watching Ellen and after a little quick view of Obama she jumps out says "Why would anyone vote for someone with a name that rhymes with Obama, Hussein, he's a sand n-" then she spouts out which she is under the impression he is muslim, that doesn't matter to me but I'm 98% sure he is christian and I've met many, who all liked Osama, but was under the impression he is muslim. Then the friend of him says "obama would make a great president" and she says "f- that, why would I vote for him just because he is a sand n-?" the friend then says "you should be more open minded" and I said "Don't, vote for him because he is right for America, not because of the what nationality you think he is." then she said "I'd vote for McCain before I vote for a sand n-" then after that she said "McCain will secure the borders" With that immediately I was assuming it was racial and in my gut I believe it is because Arizona has alot of illegal immigrants from Mexico, many are in my city. However, growing up here I've gotten to know some growing up and let me tell you alot of them are more respectable human beings then alot of the people in the US. I then told her "If you have a problem with immigration then you shouldn't be here, the only ones here should be the Mexicans and Native Americans." but thru all this she was yelling and seemed really pissed off. I had so many racing thoughts and I was getting angry, such as "Do you know how stupid you sound?" "What!?" "What the f- is wrong for having a law-biding Senator becoming President?" I had to leave, but later I realized she probaly meant securing the borders as far as terrorism goes which I believe in but my gut tells me it was racial."

But after serving a tour as M915A2 operator and after braking my hand I was one of the night shift supervisors of a dining facility in a base on Kuwait which had many foreign nationals mostly from India, countries in Africa, Kuwait, Phillipines, and others working for comparable low wages to the US. However the supervisor of them was from India, he was one of those guys who never become seriously angry, he was always in a good mood, spoke english and followed instructions well but we never really had to tell him to do his job only gave him updates of information he passed on the others who many can't speak english. However, his biggest dream was to become America, from what he knows it's the greatest place on Earth. I even printed out a way for him but it was like you had to have a great skill in athletics, academics, entertainment such as music or acting, and other ways. Many states had restrictions to just middle to lower class gaining access and I saw the list of states in which you can but from what I remember India wasn't on the list. I would like for him very much to get to the US but at the same time I don't want him to meet the likes of her.

Good that you are awakening to the realities of life. Keep it calm and lead by positive example if you can but don't hesitate to point out the stupidity of that kind of thinking.

I've heard it before and I'm well aware of it trust me. I have other examples, a couple 'You shouldn't have a relationship with a black woman because we are running out of white people in America, we need you to be with white women so we can have more white people' or 'it pisses me off to see a white man taking our good black women' or even US troops many referred to southwest asians as 'durka, durka' which someone who was an EO representive tackled the issue by making the comparison of calling any general race by a racial slur.' Each time it happens regarding any race I get pissed off whether there taking about Mexicans, blacks, native americans, asians, whites, any other nationality and I've heard every one.

I regret I didn't call them on there bulls- but as mad as I was feeling I controlled myself by not discussing it, I wish I could take the information I have in my head any why and plant that in her head, I figure no matter what I said she is still going to have her naive views.
