Help? Blue screen of death.
Tried to shut down last night and it's still hung up on the blue screen "Windows is shutting down".
Presario laptop, so I can't just kill power and reboot.
Running XP.
Any way out?
Posting from Miz t.'s computer.

2. Why can't you just kill power?
Hold the power button in for 15 seconds or so, the computer will shut down.

If that doesn't work, unplug power supply, remove battery, wait a minute or two, plug everything back in and reboot.

I do IT work all day long and run into this occasionally.
