Battery dead again in my VW Golf
Drunk step-FIL hooked up my new battery backwards and fried the big fuse (the one that connects to the battery directly), which has since been replaced by the dealership. They didn't find any other problems with the car.

This morning, my car was dead again. Could this be a smaller fuse or relay draining my battery? I'm sure he blew out more than one thing, because the fan turned on and the wipers went on, when he hooked the battery up backwards.

1. You have a charger?
You can get one pretty cheap at any auto store (They're handy to have around, too). Charge it overnight, then see if it can hold the charge. Faulty battery, mebbe.

2. I am pretty sure I fried my alternator when I did that in 1994.
Most parts stores can test the alternator for you for free.
