Help - need some pirate names and pirate ship names
The players in my ongoing D&D campaign will be off on a bit of a sidetrek in the coming weeks, which includes a visit to a pirate haven that is home to over 1,000 pirates.

I have two main ships already named - the Dark Gloryand the Red Wake.

However, I want a few more ship names and a few more pirate captain names, so I can say something like "Arr, I'm dirty Jack Rackham from the Revenge, the meanest pirate in these parts..."

Thanks!

23. Oops! I didn't see your post! Sorry...
...Great minds think alike. Hey, how about "Big Poison" and "Little Poison"? Those are pretty good swashbuckling names.

I've got my Clemente 1972 baseball card right in front of me as I write this. My hero.

6. Have you checked out the Swashbuckling Adventures series
for v3.0? Better yet, you could pick up the 7th Sea role-playing game that S.A. was adapted from. Tons of piratey goodness in there.

7. The Dowdy Lass
This was the name of "our" vessel in a glorious cinematic game my wife and I played in. Pirates are not all blood and thunder 24/7--their grim and/or bawdy sense of humor should shine, too, especially in buccaneers ("on me buckin' 'ead, that's where") confident enough not to have to be scary all the time.

9. When I was doing a silly comic strip that involved pirates they sailed on the The Bloody Lip.
:)

I also managed to make a funny anecdote out of a typo I made... in one panel I referred to a pirate as 'Black-Eyed Bill', and in another as 'One-Eyed Bill'. So I made up a story about how he refused to eat citrus and got scurvy, which is why his name went from 'Bill' to 'Black-Eyed Bill' and then eventually to 'One-Eyed Bill'. :P

22. I remember! Back when they were in contention...
...Actually, Barry Bonds is not a bad pirate name. A better pirate name, however, is "Mudcat" Grant.

Bill Mazeroski is not a very good pirate name, let's be honest. Yet he was one hell of a Pirate!

I specifically kept it sex-neutral, as there are plenty of opportunities for women pirates here.
