I just ate some Grape-Nuts for the first time.
That is the nastiest freaking cereal that I do believe I have ever had. Honestly, I felt like I was munching on cardboard. Does anyone have any tips on how to make it taste, hm, edible?

2. Orange blossom honey
mix it in while dry, then add milk.

Let it soak a bit, otherwise it's too crunchy.

12. That might of been my mistake.
I started eating right away. One of my first thoughts was "There is no way that this is supposed to be this crunchy"

4. I love Grape Nuts
I munch some almost every morning before going to work, while I'm seeing what's up on DU.
Sometimes I take a small container of Grape Nuts to work and mix with yogurt for a mid morning snack.

18. I like crunchy
or crisp things. Apples, carrots, cucumber slices, celery. Rosemary and Olive Oil Triscuits with cheddar cheese.
One thing I can't eat is shredded wheat. And I know you're gonna think, how can I like Grape Nuts and Triscuits but not shredded wheat. Eating SW is like grazing in a pile of sticks.

With salt and artificial flavorings added.

Everyone in my family does, even the teenagers. Mmm, so nutty and delicious! We only buy two kinds of cereal. Grape Nuts and Shredded Wheat. None of us like sweet things in the morning.

36. I think my grandmother ate Grape Nuts every day of her life.
So, they remind me of her. So, I've tried to eat them, I think because having the box in the kitchen was kind of a comfort to me. Well, I tried that once or twice. But this is one thing my gramma and I di not have in common. I'll stick to my Frosted Mini-Wheats and Cheerios.

37. Put it in yogurt.
Actually, I like Grape Nuts in a bowl. But I find that they add just the right texture to yogurt to take out some of the excessive creaminess and chalkiness yogurt can have, especially vanilla.

slice a banana in there maybe some straw or blueberries, toss a handful of brown sugar on top and yum! The best tasting bowl of sweetened, mushy rocks to be had :9

It will lose some of the gravel-like quality - over time.

If you think grape nuts is nasty, try "Uncle Sam Cereal", made with nearly pure fiber and flax seeds. I used to eat that stuff mixed with "real" cereal (Frosted Flakes, etc.) but I stopped and now can't find it any more.

Besides, that crunchy shit is good for ya!

(I had a Boston Creme donut for breakfast this morning - pay no attention to me.)
