I saw The Dark Knight again. This time in IMAX.
Every time I see this film, I discover new details I haven't caught before. This is the third time I had seen the movie, and I wasn't alone. A teenager behind me has seen it four times. A woman behind me dragged her friend to see it.

And this is why they keep coming back - for the details they may have missed before. The lesson I think Hollywood can take from this is to never insult the audience's intelligence. Don't shy away from delving deeper and exposing a greater truth from the fictitious narratives you're presenting.

1. I didn't notice any differences between the IMAX and rev
then again, I was too busy trying to not kill the Tweens in the front row taking photos of every Ledger scene.

2. There is a major size difference between the IMAX shots and the regular shots.
The regular shots would have had black bars on the top and bottom. The few scenes Nolan shot in IMAX would have encompassed the entire screen.

Geesh. I'm sorry about the Tweens.

5. Haven't seen it, but heard that's the way to do it.
Apparently some scenes were shot in IMAX.

6. Watched it... Batman was just IRRITATING in this movie in all seriousness
Heath Ledger carried what would have been a boring Turkey otherwise.

And frankly, he did it. One performance made it good. Subtract Heath and the movie is MAJOR SUCKAGE.

7. I really liked the movie, but it was goddam depressing
As much as I love Batman, and as many times as I saw "Batman Begins" (at least six), one time around with this film is enough for me.

9. They could have yanked the entire Harvey Dent storyline
and it would have been a much better movie.

The second time I saw it I left as soon as Joker was all wrapped up. The final bit with Gordon's family was not necessary.

10. Unfotunately, I found myself agreeing with, gasp,
Glen Beck about the Dark Knight. Glen Beck was on CNN yesterday morning crowing about how gratified he was to go a big Hollywood blockbuster with his family and be pleasantly surprised to find a conservative values movie.
I was not so giddy with enthusiasm.
Beck loved the justification of spying on all Americans in the fight against terrorists. I didn't.
Beck loved the justification of rendition, illegally kidnapping a foreigh national outside the structure of our Constiution, bringing him back to prison in the U.S.
I didn't.
Beck proclaimed George W. Bush our "Dark Knight." Beck says the movie is a justification of Bush's policies.
I agree.
I just don't share Beck's endorsement of those policies or this movie.
(Besides, when Heath Ledger wasn't onscreen, the movie sucked.)
