As these meds ease off.... I become old me again.

I've never been a grump. But at my old job a common statement was, "You're too intense for me." And at work I was, and did some great work.
Well, since the meds I've been more subdued and lighthearted on the job. I started the job I have now when I went on them. So, now that I'm drifting back into "psycho workaholic mode" everyone at work keeps asking me, "What's wrong?" As they walk past my desk with me scowling at a document or something.... the cool thing is I think some are becoming scared of me. :-)
I don't know that I'll stay off the meds... sadly, OCD shit is coming back too. Gotta talk to my doc about it. I spent a good ten minutes the other night trying to assure mself I was in fact looking at buildings in the distance that were on Burrard.

I take effexor for it. It's an anti-depressant, but works for me.

It can really fuck you up if you just stop.

I was on Effexor for a year for depression.

No effect from said Effexor even at 150 mg.

Went off it like it wasn't there. No after
effects.

I wish I was more obsessive than depressive.

Why does it seem like every journalist on DU is dealing with something of this nature? You're getting OCD, Oedi's getting depressed... Should I take this as a warning and study bio instead?

I'm pretty sure most of my co-workers are on some kinda meds.

I find the combination of someone with OCD dating someone with ADD to be amusing in a way that would make a good TV show. Fairly infuriating. They're two disorders that don't compliment eachother so well.

Med changes are always an interesting adventure...
