1. A principal once told me...
that I was not tolerant enough of incompetence.

I said, "Thank you."

He looked confused.

I still got a Superior teaching evaluation rating.

2. Being Intelligent Is A Threat To The Status Quo, This Happens In Industry
as well.

Better this young man learn this lesson now and consider it a part of his socialization.

Our society honors only the scoundrel and intellectually challenged.

Our current pResident would serve as a good example.

3. Ouch!
I suspect there are numerous schools out there that would snatch this guy up in a heartbeat. What's the other side of the story, I'm curious?

5. $100 says...
the person responsible for the hiring decision didn't feel comfortable with a 22 year old who was clearly more motivated and intelligent than the leadership.

There is a percentage of leadership that has the foresight and vision to snap such people up, though they usually wind up taking credit for the work of the person they hired.

Most will be content to not rock the boat and hire those who agree and don't push.

It happens everywhere.

4. Holy cow that is really the most bizarre thing I have read
what ever happened to having role models?

I think that guy is qualified to teach too bad he doesn't want to come up north, I know of a few districts in our region that would take him.
