So who else stood on the street waiting for Madden 09 tonight?
I was the only woman (mom of preteen) there wearing a pareo and carrying my copy of "To the LIghthouse" while surrounded by the male football faithful.

I must love my kid a lot to stand there at midnight with the football obsessed hordes. ;)

2. my son said it was Green Bay - I don't think they would have had time to
put a different uniform on him for the cover, would they? I said, well that's not good luck for him to be on there, is it? ;)

3. Believe it or not...
You can download a roster that puts Favre in the Jets lineup, and even download an alternate cover with Favre in green and white.

6. Madden is a crappy game...
the new version is NO different than the last version.. The graphics aren't better anymore.. why not just release a download to update the rosters?

Because, for the first time, they didn't put out a PC version.

Mr. LIW is pissed off. He looked forward to that game every year.

16. the Wii is really cool, I have to say
no computer/Mcrosoft bugs, no crazy crap like with the PC versions - and it's fun for everyone. My husband actually hurt his knee a little playing Wii tennis!


We are a geek household, though, we have one too many game systems. I do draw the line at the PSP and the X-Box. We don't have those.

17. We have a number of reasons why we don't have a gaming system, but
even if we wanted one, it's not currently in the budget.

Obviously, EA Games decided it wasn't worth it to put out the PC version of Madden this year, but it's still a big disappointment to my husband.

18. That really sucks.
I received the original Madden for my Commodore 64 for X-mas back in 1989.

I played much of the series on a PC.

You'd think on the 20th anniversary they'd give the PC users (where the game originated) one last hurrah.
