The benefits of raising your kids in the same town where you grew up
My son had the same kindergarten teacher that *I* did, which was awesome. We just got his "teacher assignment card" in the mail for third grade, and HIS third grade teacher is the same guy who was MY second grade teacher, and he was an awesome teacher at that!

It makes me wonder how many more of my old schoolteachers I'm going to be reunited with as they become my son's teachers. This is just too cool. :)

4. When we lived in CT, TM went to the same pediatrician
I went to as a baby. I thought that was awesome.

One of the reasons we've not going to move from here. I want them to have that.

5. I went to the same high school as my parents.
When my dad found out who my typing teacher was, he said:

"My God, Mrs. Ballantyne? She was ten thousand years old when I was in high school!"

6. Bwahah!
As I recall, this particular teacher was losing his hair in 1986. He's probably totally bald by now. :P

Oddly enough, this was the teacher whose class I was in when the Challenger exploded. We were watching on TV in the classroom, and I don't think many of us really understood what had happened. The teacher just turned off the television and let us play games quietly for the rest of the day; the teachers themselves were pretty devastated, and I remember seeing one of the first-grade teachers crying.
