Ohio Burger King worker takes bath in utility sink

XENIA, Ohio - Burger King Corp. said Tuesday it has parted ways with an employee who was recorded taking a soapy bath in the restaurant's utility sink. The nearly four-minute video, which was posted Thursday on MySpace.com, shows the unidentified employee taking the bath to celebrate his birthday.

The worker, who refers to himself as "Mr. Unstable," appears to be naked.

Burger King spokeswoman Denise Wilson said two employees involved in the incident were fired and another quit. She declined to identify the employees or say whether the man who took the bath quit or was fired.

<snip>
Dude whatever happened to just going out drinking for your birthday.

1. When you only bathe once a year
it's easiest to remember to do it on your birthday, I guess.

5. "I guess"
You sure you aren't talking from personal experience?

6. Positive.
Otherwise, I'd have said, "I can tell you from personal experience..."

Besides, I only shower. :P

3. Meh
Compared to those quick dunks you see glasses getting at bars it was probably still 10 times cleaner. And it's a utility sink, probably where the mops go.

I say bring on our shiny clean Burger King employees!

4. That was on one of those stupid afternoon tabloid shows, like E! or whatever.
He seemed to be enjoying himself immensely.

And since all the kitchen equipment is required to be daily sanitized with bleach anyway, there's no chance of contamination.

Not sure why people got so freaked by it.

I mean, I can see why Burger King fired the guy - I would have. But the E! (or whatever) ignorant shitbags were all "Oh, that's really gross" and "How disgusting" and blah blah blah.

9. I am such a sap. Here I'm reading, thinking this is going to be about a homeless person who has
nowhere else to bathe, that he's managed to get a job at a fast food restaurant, and that he is doing what he has to do to take a bath.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Actually, I would like to tell the dumbass kid who has THAT much time on his hands to get his butt out to the homeless shelter and do something to make the world a better place. I won't be eating at Burger King again. Come to think of it, I don't eat there anyway.

10. I've always said if people knew what went on behind the scenes
they'd be doing more home cooking.

I just hope he sanitized the sink when he was done.
