"W".

Ok, the subject matter is vile...but Stone is one of the most interesting directors working today. I can't say that I disliked any of his films. I especially liked Stone's "Nixon". An interesting look at Richard Nixon's life and Presidency.

1. I'm interested in seeing it also....
I've always enjoyed Stone's movies. I am interested in how he portrays Bush. I just can't imagine how a character based on bogus frat-boy, George W. Bush, can be developed with any depth or redeeming qualities.

2. Mr. LIW watched a trailer for it online the other day -
he said he has no interest in watching the movie, though.

I told him that I doubt it will be a flattering portrayal.

3. I'm interested too, but will wait
Because if Bush is portrayed in any way that I think overlooks his dark heart or plays him up to be anywhere close to a decent human being who cares a wit about a single person or thing outside his immediate circle I won't want to see it.

It's OK if he's shown to be a victim of his parents in some profoundly crippling way, like when his sister died, but I want it to show that even if you are a victim of family dysfunction you can still make choices that make you a decent human being. I think as much as he's come across as being uncaring and hateful, he's probably ten times worse inside.
