Senator to Pastor: "Your Arguments Are Bull*#@!"


SACRAMENTO, CA ? When Pastor Robert Jones began to testify at the State Capitol last Wednesday, he obviously had no idea his comments would be referred to as "bull*#@!" by a state senator.

But they were. Jones, the senior pastor at Oak Park United Methodist Church, was testifying at an information hearing on reducing global warming emissions in California.

Jones told lawmakers he wanted them to consider minority communities when drafting regulations connected to global warming issues. "Our communities are the ones who suffer more than any other communities," said Jones.

Less than two minutes into his testimony Sen. Pat Wiggins, D-Santa Rosa, interrupted him. "Excuse me," said Wiggins. "But I think your arguments are bull----."

Video of the hearing has been posted on YouTube. On it, Jones, who could not be reached for comment Monday, appears stunned by the comment.
