A few pics from my month-long trip to Bosnia - Herzegovina,

Croatia, and Montenegro. Had issues at both borders leaving Croatia (Herzegovina to the North and Montenegro to the South). Croatia was my favorite by far! Montenegro - not so much - I actually cut my time there short. There seemed, to me at least, loads of tension between the locals and the Russians, many of which have taken up residence there and appeared to control many local businesses as well as access to popular beaches. It was wild to be in Croatia when it was announced that Karadzic was taken into custody.

2. Unbelievably beautiful!

I am going to try and buy in Croatia before they join the EU, which I believe is about a year and a half away. The people are lovely and the country is lovely.

4. Gorgeous photo! Is that the Drina?

I went to Bosnia during college-just before the Balkan war. It was beautiful.

5. The weather is what actually made this picture -

it was right before the skies opened up and the mist was all about. By the end of that particular day, I smelled like wet dog - the rain was so heavy it actually soaked through my 'water-proof' jacket and backpack. Three days for my trainers to dry out! :)
