We attempted a locovore meal tonight
Free range pork from 15 miles east; tomato, cucumber, onion salad from the garden; mashed potatoes made from farmers' market potatoes; Amish butter. The only place we got into trouble was the cornbread--couldn't find local corn meal, although the bread did include local eggs and local fresh corn. Must have been a successful meal because everyone's asleep all over the living room now.

1. Sounds delicious
One of my favorite grocery stores is heavily promoting its home-grown produce and meats so I shop there when I can't get to the farmers' market. I like supporting the locals.

4. The Milwaukee Public Market is great
We visited it the last time we were in town.

No baby yet but they are going to induce on the 20th if the little imp refuses to come out on his/her own. So I will probably be in town around the first week of September. I'll PM when I know for sure.
