What would it take for me to sell out like Senator Joe?
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 03:08 PM by WileEcoyote
Seriously I'm far more broke than Joe Lieberman (I CT) and I wouldn't eat from the buffet at the GOP national convention. Wouldn't even accept their invite. Well except maybe to crash the party if at all possible.

Not that i couldn't sell for some price at some level of indecency. Just not that low.

More continued non sequitors...

Here I am, again... Mr. WileECoyote doctorate of life philosphy, living rent free, temporarly in garage (of good friend who is about to lose condo from foreclosure) sleeping in camper shell of ancient Japanese pickup truck with 2 dogs, one trumpet, slide trombone and various plumbing tools, ratchet set, miscellaneous pieecs of hardware, pipe and electrical junk, potable water, Purina food sack etc. etc.

And perfectly happy.

Sure, like turncoat Joe I've born accusations of closet conservatism. All untrue of course. I may differ with some of you on minor gender issues. Those generally related to community property and marriage. Nothing major. I just have a bit of trouble wholeheartily endorsing some political matters associated with selective emancipation.

Difference is that Wiley has subscribed to an oath of poverty. Not Joe. I am, therefor far less corruptible.

Multinational corporations are the enemy. Not men. Yet we became the undeserving scapegoat and target of much feminist attacks. Even depict us as stupid, lazy, greedy and such in childrens books.

In childrens books for God's sake! Read "The Berenstain Bears". If you can't see something seriously wrong with the way the papa bear is referenced? Well then YOU are part of the problem too.

And don't forget Tee Vee's Homer Simpson, stupid lazy beer drinking oaf married to saintly wife Marge. Might as well go out and label all men with some repulsive racial or demeaning epithet.

Any other group would have had the head of the publisher of the Berenstain Bears had they depected their group as offensively as the men were. And yet opposition to the book was only mildly tepid. One of the authors Stan Berenstain is dead. Serves the wuss right for being the metaphorical "Uncle Tom" of his gender.

Divide And Conquer. The corporate power structure must be pissing their collective pants after laughing at how effective the war between the sexes has become. Completely plays into their hands.

Making on 70% on the mens dollar? Great now the corporate power structure will have you blame men for this condition, enter labor force un-unionized and lower the pay scale clear across the board.

So now you make 25 cents on a man's 40.

I've digressed too far. Sorry.

What can be done?

Live simply. Do your thing whatever that is. Or try, like me to do your thing. Consume less. Be nice to everyone except the real prix of the world. Pet your dog often, holler at elected leaders. And buy nice things for your friends that show you care.
