4. They're prepping for the GOP convention next week
and consequently, there's elephant memorabilia all over the friggin' place.

Thankfully I'm taking all next week off of work so I don't have to deal with any of the crap going on. I'll be busy moving instead.

6. I'm taking all next week off to move into my new place
I just found out this week that one of the parades is even going by my "new" building (which is on the edge of downtown). And since I was going to be moving Tuesday and Wednesday next week, I decided to take it all off.

Unfortunately, I'm still only a mile from downtown, so I may get some of the overflow traffic, especially at the bars and restaurants. At least a major party convention only comes to town once every hundred years or so.
