1. I saw her perform at World Veg Day a few years back. She's very funny.
Not my type of music at all, but it would be difficult not to like her. She's charming.

2. Oh yeah? I'd love to see her perform. I DID see her in 'Threepenny Opera' a couple years ago...
playing the part of Polly. She was pretty good in that.
I like her music, too.

3. She was getting an award.
The building (a set of meeting rooms in Golden Gate Park) happens to have a rather battered old piano, the unassuming kind that one normally finds in high school auditoriums for accompanying choir recitals and such, and she played for maybe 20 minutes before dinner.
