Hello from The Marriot north of Cincinnati... ***Dial Up Warning***

BabyG and I are splurging. I am amazed at how far up the country hotels are booked with LA evacuees. Stupid me didn't figure that one out last night (in Memphis-no less) when I was driving around the Graceland area for an hour and a half looking for a hotel. Might I add that $119/night for a horrible little room in the horrible little Comfort Inn in Memphis appears to be a hurricane induced price jack and I said as much to the owner?

To make up for it, BabyG is now ensconced in his own bed with 6 (standard with the room) feather pillows, Kung Fu Panda on the television and a French Toast breakfast on order for the morning? And...another thing... how come none of you told me that people in Cinci go gaga over the fireworks and that I would be stuck on I-75 for an hour??

because BabyG wanted to see Louisville. Today we saw Memphis, Louisville and Cincinnati...all in one fell swoop. I'll honk when we head back down (permanently) sometime in the next few months.

Cincinattians LOVE their fireworks. I guess its the Appalachian influence.

We were all across Arkansas. :( But, I was in a really, super bad way... I was supposed to meet up with a Texas DUer and couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm much better online than in real life. Trust me. :hug: :loveya:

I wish I could just run and run and run. But, I did find a really nice house in Houston. (with extra room if the mood to relocate yet again) ever strikes you. There's a hot job market there right now. :hug:
