but people totally shouldn't underestimate how strong you are. With your wit, and those famous f-bombs of yours you're totally well armed. :hug:

I'm doing much, much better. I stopped taking the med that was causing the problem. My speech is almost back to normal and the bouts of confusion are now now minor and infrequent. :)

Unfortunately, it's my fibro med I had to stop taking, so I'm already getting more pain in my hands and feet again. I'll probably lose more function again. But I'll have to find a way to deal with that. Better to lose more physical ability than lose congnitive abilities. :(

I didn't know you had fibro on top of everything else. I have a rather mild version of fibro in addition to spinal disk herniations. I'm just so relieved that (most) doctors are finally accepting it as a real syndrome and not just a figment of our imagination.

I wish you didn't have to choose between physical function and mental function, what a terrible choice. :hug:

It's amazing how many people have Fibro. A few years ago nobody had ever heard of it because doctors dismissed anything that was "just pain." Now that it's finally being taken seriously and documented, it's turning up everywhere.

The treatment still seems really crude though. I hope they get some much better meds that target this better, more safely, with few side effects. I'm so sick of horrible side effects. :(
