The kitten has died
:cry:

The Vet called a few minutes ago...she crashed again, and they wanted to know if they should do extreme measures. She's been through so much in the past few days, I decided to let her go.

Damnit. Sometimes life is really unfair.

7. So, so sorry. I know how you are feeling.
That's what I had to do when my Rottweiler got so sick. She was in emergency hospital and vet called me and said that she was going and did I want her to use extreme measures and try to resuscitate her. I said to let her go.

20. Years ago, I had to make the same decision for my
afghan doggie Sasha.I came home from work one day to find her tongue hanging out and her lips turning blue. So I took her to the emergency vet, and the X-rays showed her full of cancerous tumors. They pretty much said that they could prolong her life, only to have her suffer. So I held her in my arms while they gave her a shot to put her to sleep.

Hey, that kitten died as a beloved pet, even if it was only for a short while. That's a LOT more than so many animals get.

There's no more suffering for that little one. You did all you could.

14. That's what the Vet said, that i did much more than most would have
done for a sickly 5 week old baby who didn't even weigh a pound yet.

I'm still planning to get another cat, hopefully I can find a healthy one.

First, I'm very sorry.

Yes, please do get another cat when you feel the time is right. I'm a cat rescuer and persons such as yourself (who will go the extra mile) are few and far between.

There are so many that need good homes. And if possible, you should consider adopting two together as they do better in pairs.

This little one hadn't even moved in with us yet...We drove 100 miles to try and save her last night. Sigh.

I've been on Petfinder today, looking at the local shelter babies. We already have a little guy that's a little over a year old, and he needs a buddy.

26. I lost two kitties
getting them spayed. At different times, too. I have decided to not take any future cats to this vet I think they gave them too much anaesthesia or something.

They said "Oh, we have only lost three cats', well,. two of those cats were mine. That's better odds by far than the fucking lottery!

There is no life without cats as far as I am concerned.

Though you are suffering the loss of your baby kitty, I do hope that you will be able to adopt another poor kittie in need!!

55. I had a kitty who died once.
She was about four years old. I adopted her from a local shelter. I knew something was wrong when she kept having accidents outside her litter box. After several tries and recommendations from the vet to solve the problem, it turned out she had a tumor. It turned out to be FIP, a virus she picked up from the shelter she was at. She had to be euthanized five months after I got her.

Three weeks later, I went back to the same shelter and got my second boy Raphael. Come December 13, we'll have been together five years!

But you gave it some care and attention, that's what matters for it. That is more than millions of little kittens get. You've made its short little life mean a lot, I'm serious, it's got a place in your heart AND it's immortalized with us online.
I don't mean to sound gushy but I know how hard it is watching this happen to a perfect little furry baby like that. Once we had a little black kitten, I don't even remember how we got him, we named him Harley. He seemed fine then a week after we got him he just slowed down and gave out. It happens with tiny babies like that sometimes, little kittens are fragile :hug:
