Poll question: A poll for you DU men - what would you do
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 05:52 PM by nadine_mn
Scenario:
You are at convention for a week in a southern state, it has been very hot and you sweat (like most would). Your luggage was barely overweight on your way to the convention - now you have more stuff (all those convention freebies) and your bag will definitely be over the limit. You have already shipped some goodies home but still have extra stuff. Oh and as an added factor, your flight leaves the Friday before Labor Day.

By the way - guess which one my wonderful spouse chose

Do you:

1. Alright - clearly an elitist or repug with money and clothes to spare
chose the last one... althought seriously that would have been a much better alternative

2. Depends on what would be the most reliable and most economical way to go.
If shipping stuff home would be under $100 and the clean clothes you shipped home were things you couldn't do without and be over $100 to replace I'd send the clothes home. No way would I send dirty clothes home. Otherwise toss some things before you leave to even things out. I'd only pay for an extra checked bag in extreme situations.

3. I'd ship the dirty stuff home, but open it myself right over the washing machine.
I'm too cheap to pay $100 for another bag when UPS ground is >$20, and I'm not going to sit in a laundry room in who-knows-where if I can avoid it.

because my hubby clearly has a death wish

and this may sound like I am stereotyping but I believe straight men are more likely to ship the dirty clothes home than gay men.
Yes, its a stereotype but I belive gay men have more sense.

He had unworn clean clothes still - he could mailed those but nooooo send the stinkys to bake in the sun.

6. I would have shipped the clean clothes home
Put the dirty clothes in my suitcase and checked the suitcase through.

I am guessing your husband had the dirty clothes shipped...
