4. Tell me about it.
I'm recovering from having two plantars warts CUT out of the bottom of my foot. 6-8 stitches and I'm supposed to stay off it as much as I can for 2-3 weeks. I'll get the stitches out next week. In the meantime, I'm totally gimped out and basically homebound these days, but the good news is I'm keeping on top of the news and the kids are helping as much as they can!

7. Oh, those stupid little warts. I despise those things. The doc gave me
my own little scalpel for dealing with them myself. They must have been really bad for you to have to have them dealt with like that.

on the bottom of her feet, changing it every night after her bath, with one of those wart removers on the skin. It worked.

another friend of mine had a monster one, she worked as a radio tech in a hospital; one day she was limping around and the radiologist made her get on the table and he injected little bursts of lidocaine all around the perimeter of the plantar. It killed it. Don't know why either of these things actually work, but they did.

3. That's great news.
The poor fellow. Those things don't "resolve themselves" easily. :hi:

6. No, they sure don't! WEirdly, he's been having pain in his back and side in the mornings but
we always assumed it was a kink or something. It had to have been the early stages of this thing. And for him to start passing it on the heels of a stomach virus! He was _so_ dehydrated. I forced a lot of water into him, though, when he got home from the hospital.

9. Ugh.
Did they give him lots of painkillers? I had a friend who developed a stone when she was eight months pregnant, and they refused to give her anything to relieve the pain. Can you IMAGINE? I'm glad your hubby is home and feeling better.

11. that is exactly what it feels like at first, then it feels like the sword is running
from the base of your pelvis vertically to the ribcage and you can't bend at the waist. Renal Colic

12. oh boy that is good. Those things can take some time to get out; lucky him to have it pass!!
probably the early pains were the stone moving around in the kidney. The heaving from the virus probably jiggled it out of the kidney into the ureter and then it stuck. That makes the urine back up from the stone into the kidney causing renal colic ..that stage was the worst pain for me..it got stuck 3 times before it passed
