I miss Vader.

The last of the four little rescue kittens went to stay with her forever family tonight.

She's got a great home but now my house feels really quiet and empty. :( I was halfway hoping nobody'd want her.

1. It's great that you found her a home, though
I saw your post about her in the Kollyforniya forum last night. I was soooooo tempted because she looks so incredibly adorable :loveya: ... but I dunno if Lucy would approve.

2. She's just incredibly sweet and well behaved.
I can't believe somebody just packed them up and left her and her sibs in a cardboard box. :( That's how I wound up with them.

3. Humans, y'know, suck
I'd love to get a kitten for Lucy because I think it'd help keep her young — and, not incidentally, divert some of her attention from demanding my attention. But she doesn't get along with other cats at all, so I figure a kitten would have to be very young to bring out her maternal (read: non-cannibalistic) instincts.

4. Usually cats get it all figured out after a few days of hating each other
Trin took a couple of months before she decided not to eat Dora and Piglet and made friends. But Trin hates most everybody, so that wasn't really a shock.

5. Welcome to rescue.
Keep with it and it'll rip your heart out numerous times.

6. I tried to call you on my way home.
But you're too cool to answer the damned phone. I see how it is.
