6. I loved the old "Hallmark card" commercials -- they always made me cry!
Like the one where the young newlywed notices her elderly neighbor never gets any mail, so she sends her a card.

I'm tearing up -- seriously!

I wonder why they don't show those anymore?

7. 70's and 80's pop music.
70's and 80's pop music, from Mac Davis to The Bangles. Many's the evening I end up bee-bopping around my apartment to the Go-Go's singing (in a very bad and uneven falsetto) 'We got the Beat', or singing the refrain to Falco's 'Rock Me Amadeus' at the top of lungs while I'm cleaning the kitchen.

Also, I love reading the compact-car sized, sub-literate Stephen King novels.

:hi: Lostie!

15. Ditto on King AND the tunes
The cheesier and seventies-er the better (my #1 is Maxine Nightengale singing "Right Back Where We Started From")

16. A few Miley Cyrus tunes.
I can't help it. I absolutely love "Start All Over" and "See You Again." They're great pop tunes.

"7 Things," on the other hand, is a steaming pile of crap.

27. My best friend used to call me during those and place bets.
Her boyfriend was doing construction out in BFE and they had this little place where there were no neighbors close by and she could only barely get one channel on TV, so she'd call me to keep her company while watching horrible television.

Might I suggest the Kinley MacGregor Novels? They ARE a tiny bit cheesy, but they are really good.

34. Britney Spears.
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 08:30 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
I liked the album before the one out. Toxic, I think it was? Anyway, I feel really sorry for her after what has happened to her. She's a victim of people using her for her money and fame. It's so sad. I think she is trying to turn it around now, and I wish her the best.
