If you will permit a self-bragging post...

I made this for my sister for her birthday earlier this month - she is a Doctor Who fan (both old and new series), so I thought it was a cool gift idea. Luckily, she seems to like it.

I thought it came out pretty well (particularly since I made the project much harder than I had to, on purpose) and I just want to show it off.

Sorry in advance for the bad pictures...since I finished it literally half an hour before I gave it to her, I only had camera phone to photograph it with. I'm planning on taking better shots when I can corner her again.

For those who don't know, that's the current Doctor with his evil arch-nemesis, a Dalek, on the key chain. You really should watch the show. It's quite good.

1. Way more talented than me.
I always admire people who can do things with their hands. (Loungers, don't call there. I am speaking artistically here. ;) ) I am sure she enjoyed it.

It's something I just kind of fell into as a kid...it was something I could do while my mother and sisters sewed (because making clothes of any kind is mostly beyond my patience level), and it let me be social.

I also make seed bead jewelry. I like working in miniature.

:hi:

5. Very good.
You are talented, creative and a good sister. The nemesis on a key chain is very clever.

6. I was thinking the picture was really pixilated
Then I saw it was cross stitch. Great job.
