Post Hurricane Blues.... Lounge vibes request

Thanks to all who checked up on me during Gustav. I got power back last night, only to have it knocked out AGAIN by some early feeder bands from Ike. As of last check, it was back on but another band is coming through soon.

Otherwise, the ramifications of Gustav include a parting of ways between my partner and I. Perhaps not an all-out breakup, but I am moving out. It's a long story, that maybe I'll share when I get the time to write it all out, but suffice it to say that after all of the issues he put me through (cheating, etc...), I didn't think it would be too much to ask for a personal favor during the aftermath of the storm. But I was wrong, apparently. I guess I know now where I really and truly stand...

I have an appointment today to go see a townhouse that I might buy. It's going to get more tense and tearful before it gets better, I'm sure, so I request some strength and resolve vibes from anybody that has some to spare.

If you feel that it's time to move out then you owe it to yourself and your partner to do so as soon as possible. Damn the hurricanes, full speed ahead. Or something.

I'm glad to hear that you're safe, at least, but I'm very sorry to hear about you and your partner. Breakups are hard and I'm sorry that you're in pain.
