RANT
My mother and I drove all the way down to the Advanced Radiology clinic today. She had called ahead and they said that everything was fine. So I drink my 32 oz. of water and am ready for my sonogram. And then they tell us that we don't "have the right authorization number." They KNEW what kind of Health Care Provider I had and everything and then at the last moment, this SHIT. ARRRRRGGGGGGGGGH! I have to wait another couple of days to a week for another sonogram. Meanwhile, this cyst is feeling just as bad as when it first started. BBBBBBBLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAARGGGGGGH!  :grr:

9. Yeah, it is.
The state of healthcare (having a chronic, non-preventable illness, for perspective's sake) in this country, and having lived in Europe and experienced the difference, is so fucked up. Anyway... I'm surviving, you know, like you do. :)

11. Type 1 Diabetes
It'll exempt you from just about every insurance plan out there, except for employer-sponsored ones. Even then... Ah well, it is what it is. I just will continue to support the idea of healthcare reform, because health should not be tied to income!

Thanks for the hugs... I've had a long time to adjust, had it for 19 of my 28 years. back at ya!

My mom and my paternal grandfather both have Diabetes, but I forget which type. Sorry about the health care. :(
