14. My cat takes one piece of food out of his bowl at a time...
puts them in a neat pile on the floor and then eats them. So I think "why not just put a little pile of food on the floor". Nope, wouldn't touch it, has to be in a bowl first (neurotic old Siamese)

2. Yeah, I just think that is one of the fun and silly ways all pets are brain damaged.
My pooch and kitties do silly things like that all the time too. It just makes me laugh and adore them all the more. :D

4. We got Millie while my hubby was home
on R&R this March. She's half chihuahua and half Italian greyhound. She is the best darned dog I have ever known in my life. We love her to death. :loveya: She's really great with our kids and it's nice because she's little enough that our 3 year old can hold her leash and walk her without the dog dragging her along. :)

This is our 4 year old and miss Millie the Mutt. :)

9. Very cute doggy and 4y/o
My oldest son was blond haired and cute like that. Sometimes I go through a bit of grief-like emotion missing the boys when they were little. As I have bragged recently I'll be a granma in January.

10. My old Boston Terrier used to do things like that.
When he was a strapping 2 and 3 year old, Mr. BB went through a phase where he would hide his rawhide chews in the oddest places. I found more than one in between the sheets at the foot of my bed, numerous times by my bare feet touching that cold, wet, slimy mess a dog makes when it chews on one. A couple times I found them when I changed the sheets because he would nudge it all that way down and it would fall over the edge and down into the bottom of the tuck where he couldn't get it out. Thing was, he never messed the bed up real bad!

He would hide all sorts of toys all over the place. One thing he used to do was place a ball or a bone next to the wall or in a corner, in plain view, and proceed to make the motions with his nose as if he was covering it up with - well - imaginary dirt. He was an almost constant source of amusement.

Here is a pic of my old buddy that I've posted before. Mr. BB is about 4 in this picture;

I call that photo "The Elegant Tourist".

I miss him so terribly still, just now past 4 years since he died.

11. I think it's just natural
Our dog hides his stuff in his "lair," which is a grove of pine trees that the boughs reach to the ground. He's dug out all the vines underneath and made a dog-size hole in the dirt, that he sleeps in. He keeps his "outside" toys in there. We don't let him have balls or frisbees in the house, because then he expects to play fetch in the house 24-7.

12. My male yorkie likes to bury his treats/chew toys anywhere he can.
He likes to bury them while on the bed, and he is serious about it. We "uncover" them and he goes right back at it. Too funny!

13. The beagle
will bury treats, food, car keys, and anything else she can get in the laundry basket. Her other favorite place is under my pillow.
