2. Latex
I hear it's darn near impossible to get oil paint these days--and I need some, to spill all over my staircase--I mean, to paint the risers of my staircase.

5. Sigh. I'm okay, thanks--just feeling stupid!
It spilled all over the plywood underlayment of the mudroom, where Mr. MG is going to put flooring pretty soon. And part spilled on the kitchen floor, but the kitchen floor is the same color and needed touching up, so...!

Impossible to clean.

11. I'll bet!
Trying to look on the bright side of this--no real harm done except for the edges of a couple of small pieces of drywall propped up against the wall. I even cleaned my husband's straight edge!

6. ROFL thanks for the sympathy!
No, it actually was the best outcome, IF I had to be stoopid and spill paint on the floor--it spilled on plywood and partly on the kitchen floor, which is painted the same color and needed touching up. I did indeed grab the roller and spread it around the kitchen floor. Mopped up the majority of it that was on the plywood, though. Did you know a dustpan works wonders scooping up paint? Shucks, ya learn something new every day!

Well I guess it sort of worked out for you then. Freshly painted kitchen floor. Now you just won't be able to eat for a few hours.

The amusement of your minor misfortune just keeps going.

9. I live in fear of that move.
I'm genetically predisposed to klutzy behavior. Last week when I was painting the exterior trim I was wearing a big loose tee -- mistake. Didn't notice that the front hem made contact with the paint bucket until I had a sizable wet spot. Cotton absorbs paint really quickly, FYI.

15. ROFL that sounds like something I would do!
In fact, just yesterday I was touching up the front of the sink with white paint (we dropped a double-bowl sink into an old farm table, and that's our kitchen counter)--kept reminding myself it was wet...and not half an hour later I leaned into it while I was rinsing out a glass. :eyes:

23. Nice!
Actually, I was in such a rush to clean it up, as I had to pick up MG Jr. at school, that I forgot where I left off touching up the kitchen floor (in other words, where I smeared the paint around) and I nearly did a split, sliding in it! That was an interesting pattern, but I decided against it in the long run and went over it with the roller again.

24. My partner did that once--a gallon of "Rancho Red"
And then the cat ran through it, freaked, and ran through the rest of the house trying to get it off her paws. We were finding red paw prints for months afterward. Believe me, I sympathize!

25. ZOINKS!
That must have totally sucked! I was a bit worried that our three felines would decide they needed the sunspot in the mudroom right then and there and walk through it, but they were napping elsewhere. (Phew.)
