Keep, in mind, we don't have a grill... though I suppose we could pick up cheap disposable one.

2 years ago, we brought Italian subs.
Last year, it was cold fried chicken and deviled eggs.

3. I was at Yankee stadium in 2002 and I saw 2 guys pull up in an old Toyota and do the most spartan...
tailgate ever.

They parked the car, got out, opened the trunk, pulled out a bag, closed the trunk, unloaded its contents on the trunk, and then leaned on the trunk while consuming its contents. The bag had one 6-pack of beer and one pack of cigarettes. One of them had also pulled a lighter out of his pocket. After they had finished the beers they walked away, threw the cans in the trash and continued walking into the stadium.

4. If it's going to be chilly, you can make something hearty like chili and bring it hot
to the game. Something dense like that holds heat well for at least a couple of hours if you insulate it (a cardboard box lined with a lot of newspaper or an old blanket is a good short term insulator.) You don't want to bring more than you think will be eaten though because you can't adequately cool it unless you have a big cooler with plenty of ice.

5. My friends often bring this for snacks
Take a piece of sliced ham, slather it with cream cheese, and wrap it around a piece of pickled asparagus. They are remarkably good.

8. Thank you everyone. Here's what we're going with.
Couldn't find a cheapo grill (or any grill for that matter) so we went for:

egg salad finger sandwiches
chips and salsa
buffalo wings with celery and blue cheese
Sam Adams beer

We're lazy tonight too so jarred salsa and Tyson wings we can just throw a sheet and bake.

10. What is this obsession with cooking in a parking lot?
I really don't get it at all. It's like the fucks who party on their boats still tied to the pier!

14. Hoagie rolls and sweet or hot italian sausage
cooked in a crockpot with sliced green peppers, onions, and stewed tomatos. The crock itself will keep them warm and the hoagies will be to die for!
