1. I expected to find the house trashed. We were four hours late with dinner time.

They hadn't trashed the place. They just went for killer stumbling blocks while I tried to feed them. Y'know . . . when a cat moves strategically into place just as you're about to take a step.

"Never trip the feet that feed you" -- if they're mad enough, they don't care.

2. I have a dog who does that...

Actually, I have two dogs. The boy is good. I love the girl, but she is crazy. When the girl gets mad, she doesn't know what to do, so instead of attacking me, she attacks the boy.

Feeding time is wonderful. The girl gets under my feet and trips me, I step on her, she gets pissed and attacks the boy.

Then it's all barking, growling, doggie bravado, dog sneezing, and fur flying in the air like it is snowing.
