I was thinking back today about my very first lounge post in August 1981.
I remember making a snarky comment about the TV show "Joanie Loves Chachi".

Well at that time, the whole lounge LOVED that show, so my thread turned into a flame war, and it eventually got locked.

It's nice sometimes to remember the good old days.

1. My dear philboy!
Ahem...

That's a great story, sweetie...

There's only one LITTLE problem!

There was no DU, much less a Lounge, back in 1981!

:P

10. I remember when DS1 posted this Woodstock youtube link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkiblfJG75U

It created quite a stir here in the Lounge. Three people were banned, four were put on suspension, and one just disappeared. Good times, though.

4. I remember coming here to discuss FDR's Fireside Chats...
Those were the days... Even though someone would always go and ruin it for the West Coasters by posting spoilers. :-(

11. We had no electricity, so we had to DU the Lounge by firelight.
Sometimes Dad would let us have the joystick.
