Seriously bad ideas in movies and TV shows

I just discovered Hulu, and am catching up on some old Outer Limits episodes.

A bunch of explorers on an alien planet have just discovered an unusual object:
Explorer #1: "It seems to be some sort of pod.."
Explorer #2: "Let's take it back to the ship!"
Why do I have the feeling that this will not end well?

Teen #1: "What was that noise? It seems to be coming from the cellar"
Teen #2: "Let's go look!"

"Oh look honey! How convenient that our car broke down just in front of this isolated farmhouse!"

Can you think of any others
