Apparently I'm difficult.
The restaurant manager came to me today to get the credit card for a room so he could close the check. When he said the check had been open for three hours, I asked him why. He said, "the waitress didn't want to call you about it because you're so difficult." My response was, "maybe if your waitresses stopped calling me in the middle of check in when my line is thirty deep, every one of the guests is pissed about something, and the phone is ringing off the hook, I wouldn't be so difficult."

1. What? That doesn't make sense. What's the "check"? And what has that to do with a credit card?

3. It's a hotel.
The guests leave credit cards on their accounts so they can charge stuff to their rooms. But sometimes the room is left to cash and not credit, so the restaurant is unable to charge anything to the room. The check is the bill for the restaurant.

5. Apparently, I'm crazy, but I never let it stop me from
freaking out the neighbors and McDonald's Restaurant teens. I think the one tonight was sincerely afraid of me. She kept grabbing the bag back from me when I asked for Sweet and Sour sauce. It was strange. She actually acted like I was snatching her purse or something. I had already paid at the first window. I hate the two window deal. It just gives them two chances to screw the order up AND it takes longer for them to talk to each other about what the order was supposed to be. Meanwhile, I'm asking for Sweet & Sour sauce and ketchup, which totally blows their minds. I now have a collection of baseballs from the yard as well. The teens go to the other side of the street. I used to be cool. Now, I'm crazy. What happened?
