1. How could you forget "All In The Family?"
It puts most of the others to shame.

2. Done.
Put in the spinoff Maude as well.

Brady Bunch & the Partridges were kid stuff anyway.

Of course, I was a kid at the time...

Some unforgettable lines:

Archie to Mike: "Go jump in Lake Polack"

5. watched some old MTM shows on DVD
And they REALLY did not age well, IMHO.

Except that Ted Baxter is now EVERY news stations talking head, not an exceptionally slow-witted one.

12. Bob Newhart is still pretty funny.

I think part of why Mary Tyler Moore didn't age well is that it was often issue-driven, and our view of issues is different today.

16. They were all so entertaining...
I don't even watch sitcoms anymore. "Malcolm in the Middle" was the last one I watched.

I voted for "Maude". I don't think it was necessarily the best one, but I used to practically fall off the couch laughing at that show. I love Bea Arthur.

and the movie it was based on, FM, is pretty good as well, and it has a scene set in TOWER RECORDS! - totally cool for anyone like me who grew up in the 70's and remembers hanging there.
