NC Gas update
Wednesday evening is when I traditionally get gas at the country store near my house.

Last week, they had 1/2 the pump handles blocked off and they told me they were only getting 1/2 their usual supply from their distributor.

Today, they had all the pump handles open, but were limiting people to $20.00 limit. That got me about 5.1 gallons. That's OK for me, since I only needed 1/2 tank anyway.

Man, I hope they resolve this soon.

7. I drove 600 miles in NC the week when things went bad
That must have been the straw that broke the camel's back

16. I had to do something to convince people not to drive so much
Merely posting snotty messages on the Internet wasn't very effective.

3. Don't you know? All those southern states who voted for Bush
are the ones without gas. Go figure. It's a scam; there's gas but it's just not being released. Those oil guys are a bunch of liars.

10. Refineries in the Gulf went offline for Hurricane Ike
and they still haven't gotten back up to speed yet.

That's the official story, anyway. Likely to last a couple of more weeks.

15. Good way to keep the price of gas high
even while the price of oil is going down, no?

6. I finally got some gas.
The gas station I went to were limiting to people to $50.00 worth of gas and only REGULAR, I normally get Premium. I am just thankful to get some gas. And yes they need to resolve this soon.

And YES! To whomever said that these are the states that voted for Bush are now paying for it. But its those of that voted for Kerry that are hurting the most.

11. Glad you finally got some
over there in Greensboro.

I'm gonna go get gas when I get down to 1/2 tank until this situation is over with.

This would seriously impact my career. There are writing related events I'd like to go to over in Raleigh, including a class on Monday nights (Starting at the end of this month) but I don't know if I'm going to be going to many of those if this keeps up.

13. Wow,
Where I am in NC there has been no limits on the amount of gas you can buy and we have all 3 grades readily available. I travel between my home here to our beach house regularly and I haven't seen any rationing on the amount you can buy any place I have stopped.
