An admittedly silly, blow-'em-up movie that keeps topping itself -- a good way to kill two hours.

and liked Antitrust, I hated it. As a realist who hated Transporter 2 but enjoyed Wanted, I also hated this. As a former EMT who knows a thing about wounds, I hated it. As a John McClane fan who was willing to forget Die Hard 3 (hell, I don't even remember it), I hate it.

Die Hard 4 is fucking horrible, but now you make me want to watch it again, just to see if there's a single saving quality. I doubt there is.

but that movie couldn't, for me, decide whether it was serious or just a rollercoaster. Neither of its attempts worked.

I'll download it and watch it again, but only if you've already gone beyond the F-22 scene with the truck.

...and had fun. Yeah, the F-22 bit was way OTT, but I expect this kind of movie to be OTT.

In fact, I thought it just about as realistic as some over-rated "classic" musicals, as I ranted in another thread recently. Singin' and dancin' NY street gangs! An insufferable Austrian family singing their way thru the Nazi occupation!

Now, some help from my fellow intellectuals here...(heh)...

Last night I turned off my brain and finally saw National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. I live in Egypt and it was on a movie channel.

Unfortunately, my brain kept re-booting at plot holes big enough to accomodate John McClane, the semi truck and the F-22.

Riley Poole can shut down Buckingham Palace security with a Mac and some home-made Radio Shack black boxes. But for 2.5 hours, it never occurs to him that somebody cloned a cell phone? Bwah!

Also, during the disappointing chase scene thru London, the Range Rover kept magically repairing itself between crashes. I REALLY hate that!
