Big hugs and congratulations to my son...

... he's made it through a 6 hour operation today to enlarge his bladder. Poor guy he's 5 1/2 and had too many surgeries. But here's hoping this is his last big one.

Now begins the hard part for him: the recovery. 7-10 days in the hospital minimum, maybe up to another 4-5 weeks at home. I don't want him going to school with tubes coming out of him everywhere.

So I hate to ask but if the famous DU vibe could be extended his way I'd certainly appreciate it.

I was at the hospital today for cancer treatment and saw some sick children. These kids, and your son, are so brave that it's beyond words. To go through surgery at that age has to be terrifying.

I rarely post in these types of threads.. I don't know how to comfort the uncomfortable..
Being a former kid that was born with clubfeet I had to undergo 4 surgeries from the age of
5-7 so I feel for your son.
May your family be made whole
