It took us about a minute - I guess we should have gotten the tick to watch the clip!

3. Hmmm... my wife usually mentions something about a match...
... apparently that works too.

Though she only burns the tick AFTER removal from the dog.

Mind we have had zero ticks so far this year on Shadow.

Mark.

4. My last dog showed up as a stray and he had probably
a hundred ticks on him. I pulled them out with needle nose pliers with no ill effects. I had him for 15 years from 1979 to 1995 he was probably a year old when I adopted him.

6. How long do ticks stay on a dog? Guiness got up abruptly and
was shaking his head like something was really bothering him. He didn't settle down until I coated a bump on his head with some neosporin and benydryl. This was about the place where we found the engorged tick, but it happened 2 weeks ago! i can't believe the tick was sitting there quietly for 2 weeks without me noticing it, but the coincidence is strange.

5. I pull them off similarly
Steady pressure will get them to let go. My issue is what to do with them once I've yoinked it.

Shhh, don't tell anyone but I've actually stuffed them in cigarette pack cellophane and turned them loose on the way home. I'm such a dork lol

7. You can drop them in a container of water with a little dish soap in it. They sink to
the bottom and die.

8. Little bloodsuckers may seem harmless now...
but they could grow up to be lawyers. Or worse, Republicans!

10. There was this horror anthology show years ago that had a story featuring an
insect that would crawl into people's ears and chew its way through their brains......
