Anyone watch "Mad Men" tonight?
What a weird episode. What was with the whole rich/swinger Europeans? The whole California bit was so surreal.

OTOH, the office stuff was great. I liked seeing Peggy admit her loneliness, and the whole Kurt coming out was hilarious.

2. Great episode
I think the "jet set" people were supposed to present a contrast to the life Don had chosen for himself. They had no real responsibilities, could do what they like sexually with few reprocussions ("I'm not possessive.") and had nothing to tie them down. Don is tied down, has responsibilities, and Betty has made it clear to him that he is not allowed to fool around.
This group is everything Don is longing to be right now, and as things stood at the end of the episode, it looks like he has every intention of abandoning his wife, children and job.

I liked the part when Kurt came out--he did it so casually. I also appreciated the look the Sal had on his face--equal parts surprise and shame at himself not being able to be as honest. And Kurt cutting Peggy's hair. Sometimes, a girl needs a gay!

4. I think Don always has the temptation to escape from his own life
or just re-create his identity like he already has.

I am amazed how far he has gotten under his assumed Don Draper identity.

Good episode.
