Narrativium, the election-deciding element.
Fellow Pratchett fans won't find this shocking, but this is really a brilliant Lakoffian account of why MYTH and STORY matters. Let's use it to our advantage for a change.

So, we await the election to see which story will end the way we want. Who will win by force of narrativium? Will it be the mixed-race kid who rose from obscurity, put himself through university, married a lovely professional woman, had two beautiful children, caught his Party's eye when he gave an inspiring speech, and won his Party's nomination four years later in an upset? As we would have it, this one ends with him living in the castle and ruling the land (speaking narrativium-ly, of course). Let's work very hard to make that particular story the one that wins the day on November 4!
