My offer was accepted and the financing mode looks like it is going through. I am going to be optimistic enough to share the new house with more people than just the friends I make look at it with me all the time. :)



Front of house. Yes, it's a new construction. As a Michigander, I cannot believe you get landscaping and appliances in the purchase price.

Master bedroom
Master bathroom, looking into closet, which also connects to laundry room.
WannaB's bedroom
Garage. That door leads to a 3rd bay that is separate from the other two. I won't miss the basement as much.
Living room. All that light carpet. Ack! and with a Sheltie... But, in a few years, I would probably do hardwoods.
Dining room. I was also impressed with the attention to detail...i.e. moldings, doorways etc.
Kitchen. BabyG really likes it.

Your family is going to be so happy there. Onward and upward!

I had looked at this one at the start of the week. Then, I came back to look at another house under construction. At the last minute, I toured this one again and remember how much I'd liked it. BabyG came with and said,"We fit here..." So, I guess I was sold on that. :)

It's an utter mess. I have painted the walls and they clash so badly with the old counter tops... I cannot believe how inexpensive this house is. I have always wanted a really, really nice kitchen.

I love my house, I've done a lot of work on it and it is now just like I want it. But, it is relatively small at 1500 square feet, and it was built in the 50's.

You are going to love your new life in your new home! I'm really happy for you.

Texas has a horrible, awful, unholy, abominable law that basically revoked the implied warranty of habitability for new home construction. PLEASE have the home independently inspected by an inspector of your choice before you sign anything final.
