The Phone Cat
So my cat Smokie has a new game..Used to be her and her sister Sophie would get scared by the ringing of the phone.
Not any more for Smokie! I think she's figured out that its a good time for petting cause I can easily talk and pet at the same time..Anyway the moment the phone rings she charges in (and I do mean charge--its full out cat speed) and jumps up to be next to me and immediately starts purring and headbutting for attention. Maybe she likes the sound of my voice since I live alone thats when she hears it the most.As soon as I'm off the phone..she leaves...

4. My male dawg has a phone thing too
He doesn't like it when I talk on the phone to my best friend, who lives in another state. And I mean ONLY when I'm talking to her -- . He gets very agitated, and will stand in front of me and bark. I think he's jealous. Animals can be very strange sometimes. They're attuned to all sorts of tiny non-verbal and voice cues.

6. Max does that once I start talking
If he's snoozing in the garage and hears me talking he wants in and then gets on the couch next to me, placing paw on thigh. He can also tell by the tone of my voice when I'm getting ready to hang up. He jumps off the couch, meows, and runs to the kitchen if it's near feeding time.
