How many of you have pre-schoolers or kindergarteners for Obama?
I don't expect people of this age to understand politics or whatnot but heck... to see my son get visibly excited at seeing Obama on the TV during the debates... now that was one heckuva good feeling! Admittedly he did ask shortly afterwards if I could turn the channel to the cartoon one... he was going to bed, and no, when he's going to bed he doesn't get to watch cartoons... he can watch the news if he wants to.

So if my son could vote then he'd vote for Obama... but if it was Obama vs Spongebob then I guess Obama would have to visit him personally.

Mark.

1. I have 3
and my 18 month old can say "barack obama" and it's sweet as all get out to see (to the point that my wife and I have considered filming and posting on youtube). Raise 'em "right" early is what we say. :)

2. My son is being a politician.
Back in 2004, he made a t-shirt that said "Kids 4 Dean" and had a Dean sticker on his little truck. Now? Now he has told his classmates he is voting for McCain (because they are in the school mock election) but he's actually voting for Obama. How many times have our senators done that to us??? :eyes:

3. In my 4-year-old's world, everything is either good guys or bad guys
He wants to know if the guy at the bank, the lady at the dry cleaners, the neighbor next door is a good guy or a bad guy. And we listen to talk radio every morning on the way to school, so hears the names Obama and McCain all the time. So of course, it's come up, and he knows that Obama is a good guy and McCain is a bad guy.

My 21-month-old cares for one guy, and one guy only -- Nemo. There is no living creature on the planet who compares to Nemo. Until Nemo runs for office, he will probably never be involved in the political process.

4. When I was on a weekend trip with the extended family I got my nephews & nieces to
do the Obama fist bump with me. They are all Obama fans.

5. I do!
Our daughter is almost 6, and she definitely likes Obama and dislikes McCain, to the point that she'll use her hand to cover McCain's pic on the computer screen ads while I'm reading DU. We haven't directly talked about it, so she's absorbed it from overhearing my conversations, and conversations at school, I presume...
