So okay...week 2 of trying to get my interferon..Turns out they denied the initial claim BECAUSE THE DOCTOR FORGOT TO FILL OUT SOME OF THE BOXES ON THE FORM!!!:wtf: So since its been "denied" it now has to go through the appeals process which is much more time consuming! Fuckity fuck fuck! Stupid bean counting paper pushing bureaucrats!!! I don't know when at this point I am getting my meds. :argh: :grr: :nuke:
I kind of feel sorry for the people from the Mayo Pharmacy (whom are really really nice) who have to deal with this..not their fault but they have to listen to me pop off about how much I LOATHE my health insurance company
why the hell did it take them two weeks to figure this out? I'd think that there'd some sort of "reason for rejection" code-number stamped on the damn thing, so that they could tell at a glance why you were denied.
Can you call your doc to see if the refiling process can be expedited?
I just talked to the pharmacy. My doc here was supposed to be sending blood work up to Rochester--but they haven't...But HE thinks I shouldn't be on it..he thinks I should be on the Hydrea which I DON'T want to be on. And since he hasn't seen the bloodwork, my Mayo doc can't say. I'm smelling another trip to Minnesota in the future.
