Porky's Hot Rockin' (pics)

Last night I went out to a social dance organised by Adrian, my dance teacher. There was a live band called Porky's Hot Rockin' playing 50s rock & roll.

The band:

People doing the jive. Most of these were a lot better than me, but then I have only been doing it seven weeks:

Apparently it was their bassist's first gig with them, but it didn't show. The whole band were top notch. The sound was in perfect balance, actually it sounded like there was more than four of them, that is how good it was. They knocked out all the 50s standards and made them sound just right. And the lead guitarist (playing the electric) was bloody excellent.

There was one young girl there with a very frilly knee-length skirt on, and when she danced the jive just continually spun this way and that, showing all her legs to all and sundry.

I tried not to notice too much... :blush:
