Today's College Football Thread
Another great lineup of games today, with 2 games between top 10 teams and another 2 between top 25 teams. The highlight of the early games is #8 Texas Tech at #23 Kansas. Also, newly ranked Minnesota (24) plays Purdue and Ball State (20), ranked for the first time in school history a few weeks ago, plays Eastern Michigan.

There are two big games in the early afternoon, with Oklahoma State (6) at top-ranked Texas and Georgia (7) at LSU (13), and then Penn State (3) at Ohio State (9) this evening.

There are plenty of other good games too--looks like a great day for college football. The weather has turned cool here, so I'm mulling some cider and getting ready to watch my Sooners take on Kansas State (as well as Illinois at Wisconsin). So who is your team playing? What games are you looking forward to?

I don't know that I'll catch much of the Cal-UCLA game, but Cal could really use a win there ...

22. Damn - looks like the LSU defense is taking the week off
How many wide-open completions are they going to give Georgia? Has the NCAA made a rule that you have to give a receiver a 10 yard cushion? :wtf:

5. True.
Too many seasons of marginal playing in the first half I guess. I don't know if I have the heart or the stomach for more of that.

If Penn State loses, we have a call to make to my uncle...

9. I'll be pulling for the buckeyes today too
Penn State's got to lose at some point for my Sooners to climb back into the picture, so it might as well be today :)

23. Wish we could go to the game
But I have a busy week at work and probably would not feel like driving to Lubbock on Saturday.
Plus the tickets are probably a couple of brazillion each.
Last time I saw a Tech/Texas game in person was in '69 in Austin. Tech lost 49 to 7.
;(

34. Good Lord, the U of Washington's team really sucks.
I'm only watching because I am moving to Seattle soon. I should be watching a game that matters. Or doing something productive. But no...

On the plus side, A&M leads Iowa St. 28-14 at the half.
